Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 15, 2025

Blabble (“Blabble,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website located at www.blabble.chat (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information: display name, email address, and password when you register for an account.
  • Google sign-in: if you authenticate via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier from Google.
  • Guest sessions: if you play as a guest, we assign a temporary identifier. No email or name is required.
  • User-generated content: any notes or information you voluntarily submit when filing a report about another user.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • IP address: collected at connection time for matchmaking, security, and abuse prevention purposes.
  • Usage data: session identifiers, game activity, connection timestamps, and device/browser metadata.
  • WebRTC metadata: technical signaling data necessary to establish peer-to-peer video connections. We do not record, store, or process your video or audio streams.

1.3 Report Screenshots

When you submit a report against another user, the Service may capture a single still image (screenshot) of the video session at the moment you file the report. This image is stored temporarily and is deleted as soon as a moderator reviews and resolves the report, or automatically after seven (7) days, whichever occurs first.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
  • Match you with other users for live gaming sessions.
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, including investigating and acting on reports of misconduct.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, ban evasion, and other prohibited activity.
  • Respond to support requests and communicate with you about the Service.
  • Analyse aggregate usage trends to improve the Service.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA / UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: (a) contract performance — to provide the Service you requested; (b) legitimate interests — to prevent abuse and improve the Service, where those interests are not overridden by your rights; and (c) legal obligation — where processing is required by applicable law.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers: third-party vendors that help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, real-time infrastructure), bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Google LLC: we use Google OAuth for optional sign-in. Google’s use of your data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Law enforcement / legal process: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Blabble or its users.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality obligations.

5. Video and Audio

Live video and audio streams between players are transmitted directly peer-to-peer using WebRTC technology facilitated by LiveKit. We do not record, store, or process the content of your video or audio streams. The only exception is the single-frame screenshot described in Section 1.3, which is captured locally in your browser and transmitted only if you actively submit a report.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data: retained for the duration of your account and for a reasonable period thereafter in case of disputes, unless you request deletion.
  • Guest session data: IP addresses and session identifiers are retained for up to 30 days for security purposes, then purged.
  • Report screenshots: deleted upon resolution of the report, or after 7 days, whichever is sooner.
  • IP ban records: retained only for the duration of the applicable ban.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

We use HTTP-only cookies solely for session authentication. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. We use browser local storage to remember your preferences (e.g., display name for guest sessions) on your device only.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
  • Data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at reiss.yuval@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, we rely on applicable transfer mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to ensure an adequate level of protection.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
